What this site collects, and what we do with it.

Online assessments

Four assessments are open to anyone: the Independence Readiness Assessment, the Orion Utilization Benchmark, the CPA Practice Assessment, and the Tax Event Readiness check. Each shows your result on the page without asking for your name or email address.

What we save

• Your answers and result, when you finish. This includes your overall score, the score for each area, the tier, and the recommendation shown to you, such as a path or a timeline. For the Tax Event Readiness check it includes the events you selected. For the CPA Practice Assessment it includes the recommended way of working with Axxcess. For the Independence Readiness Assessment it includes any practice details you choose to enter: current firm, production range, fee-based share of revenue, and number of decision-makers. Previewing a sample result saves nothing.
• How far you got. As you answer the Independence Readiness Assessment or the Orion Utilization Benchmark, we record the number of the furthest question you have reached (not your answers) so we can see where people stop. The CPA and Tax Event assessments do not do this.
• Where you came from. The campaign labels in the link that brought you (for example utm_source) and, for the Tax Event Readiness check, a reference to the CPA who referred you or the advisor page that hosted it, if there was one.
• Your email address, only if you give it. If you ask us to email your result, we add your email address to your saved result, together with anything else you enter on that card: a name on the Independence Readiness Assessment, or firm name and assets range on the Orion Utilization Benchmark.
• Who you are, if we sent you a personal link. Invitations and some of our emails contain a personal link. If you open one, your result and progress are connected to the person and firm we sent it to, even if you never enter an email address. See Personal links.
• People you ask us to contact. If you ask us to send your result to your CPA, to send the Tax Event Readiness check to a client, or to hold a seat at a session, we store the email address you enter and use it to send that message. We may send the recipient a short series of related emails, and every one of them carries an unsubscribe link.
• Transition economics. The economics tools open only with an access code from an Axxcess team member. The figures you enter and the results are saved, tied to that code, and visible to our team.
• In your browser. Your browser keeps your answers for the current session so the result page can be shown again if you reload it. Nothing else about you is kept in the browser by the assessments.

How we use it

• To show you your result and, when you ask, to email it to you.
• To understand how the assessments are used and to improve them.
• When we know who you are (you entered your email, opened a personal link, or were referred to us), so that our team can prepare for and follow up on a conversation. For the Independence Readiness Assessment, our team also rates how closely your answers fit our services. That rating helps decide how to follow up; it is not shown on the page and is not shared outside Axxcess.
• To measure our own marketing. When you finish an assessment, the fact that you finished, with the score and tier, is passed to the analytics and advertising tags you have allowed (see Cookies and tags).
• To keep the records that securities rules require.

Where it is kept

Assessment records are held on an Axxcess server hosted by Amazon Web Services in the United States. They are copied regularly into Axxcess's internal prospect database and into our customer relationship management system (Zoho CRM); results without an email address are filed there without a name. Our internal database is backed up nightly in encrypted form to Box.

What we do not do

We do not publish individual results, sell assessment data, or use your answers to give you investment, tax, or legal advice. The assessments are educational tools, and their results are not advice.

Personal links

When you open a personal link from us, or ask for an assessment result by email, we set a first-party cookie named axx_vid on axxcessplatform.com that lasts up to one year. While it is present, each page you view on our sites is reported to our assessment server with the page address, the page you came from, and a random session identifier, so our team can see that you came back. This cookie is set regardless of your choices in Cookie preferences. It is a first-party cookie used only to recognize your return visits so our team can follow up; it is not used for cross-context behavioral advertising. To end it, clear this site's cookies in your browser. You can also ask us to delete the visit records (see Your choices).

Cookies and tags

You can change your choices at any time with Cookie preferences, also linked at the bottom of every page.

Category	What it is	When it runs
Essential	The axx_consent cookie that stores your choice (180 days), plus what is needed to deliver pages securely.	Always.
Personal links	The axx_vid first-party cookie described above.	Only after you open a personal link or ask for a result by email.
Analytics	Google Analytics: which pages are read, which links and buttons are used, whether an assessment was finished and with what score and tier, and general device and location information.	With your consent. Without it, Google's tags set no cookies and send only limited, cookie-free signals that Google uses for aggregate measurement.
Marketing	Google Ads and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which measure our own advertising, and AdvizorPro TrafficIQ, which identifies the firm associated with a visit (not the individual) for our sales team.	With your consent. Without it, the LinkedIn and TrafficIQ tags do not load and Google's advertising tags set no cookies.
Chat	The Zoho SalesIQ chat widget. It receives the page you are on and how you arrived; on the Independence Readiness Assessment it also receives your tier and score once you finish. Chats are kept as business records.	With your consent.

With your consent, Google and LinkedIn may collect information about your activity on this site and on other sites over time, under their own privacy policies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in order to deliver them. The client login links on this site open Orion and eMoney, which have their own privacy policies.

Other ways we collect information

• Email and the contact forms. The contact forms on this site open a message in your own email app, so nothing you type is stored on this website. Emails you send us, and emails we send, are archived as securities recordkeeping rules require.
• Emails from us. Emails sent from our systems may contain a small image and tracked links that tell us whether the email was opened and which links were clicked. For each of those events we record the time, your browser type, and a hashed (not readable) form of your IP address. Every such email includes a way to opt out.
• Chat. If you use the chat widget, Zoho SalesIQ records the conversation and the page you were on.
• Scheduling. If you book a meeting through Microsoft Bookings, Microsoft processes the details you enter for us. A booking link that starts from an assessment result carries a reference to that result, so the person you meet can review it first.
• Server logs. Our web servers keep standard logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time) for security and troubleshooting.
• Industry data. For advisory firms and financial professionals, we may combine what we collect with information from licensed industry databases, such as AdvizorPro, and from public regulatory filings.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that run our systems for us: Amazon Web Services (the assessment server), our website host, Google (analytics, advertising measurement, tag management, and fonts), LinkedIn (advertising measurement), AdvizorPro (firm identification and industry data), Zoho (CRM, chat, help desk, and email campaigns), Microsoft (email and scheduling), and Box (encrypted backups). We provide personal information to these providers only to perform services for us, and they are bound by written agreements that require them to safeguard the information and to use it only for that purpose.
• Regulators and others where the law requires it, including during SEC examinations.

We do not sell your personal information for money. When you allow Marketing cookies, we make information about your visits available to Google and LinkedIn, which they use under their own policies to measure and deliver advertising across other sites. Under the CCPA, this can be a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, which does not require any exchange of money. You can opt out of this sale and sharing at any time — see Your choices.

How long we keep it

We keep each category of information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above — generally the life of the prospect relationship and any client relationship that follows — and we keep communications and other records for the period securities recordkeeping rules require. We do not retain personal information longer than is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. You can ask us to delete your assessment records at any time, and we will do so unless a legal obligation requires us to keep them.

Your choices

• Choose which cookies and tags run with Cookie preferences.
• You never need to give an email address to see an assessment result.
• Opt out of any email by following its instructions, or by writing to us.
• Ask to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you by emailing support@axxcessplatform.com or calling 1-866-217-5607. We may need to confirm your identity first.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. When you allow Marketing cookies, we make information about your visits available to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, which the CCPA treats as a sale or sharing of personal information. You can opt out at any time by turning off Marketing in Cookie preferences, by using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link at the bottom of every page, or by writing to us at support@axxcessplatform.com.
• Your California privacy rights. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request access to and deletion or correction of that information, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and to not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights. You may exercise these rights using the contact details above, and you may use an authorized agent to do so.
• Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Our site does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. We do, however, treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information: when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we turn the Marketing option off and do not share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising for that browser or device.

Security, children, and changes

Pages and assessments are served over encrypted connections, and access to assessment and prospect records is limited to Axxcess staff who need it. Axxcess maintains a written information security program and an incident response program, and if a security incident affects your information we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

This site is intended for adults and for financial professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, and we do not sell or share the personal information of any consumer we know to be under 16.

If we change this notice, we will post the new version here with a new effective date, and we will review this notice at least once every 12 months.
